It's a long weekend and I think we all love those.
What are you doing? Spending the last weekend at the cottage before the kids go back to school? Some urban hiking in your home town or someone else's home town? A fall fair? Hanging by the pool? It seems the possibilities are endless.
If you can find a ribfest near you, you should go. We went to a tiny one, I'm sure some of our friends south of the border who really know how to do barbecue would point and laugh and tell us silly Canadians that we have no idea how to do it right.
There was a dancing, hotdogging, bbq man who was cooking ribs not hotdogs.
I think they named this charcoal after him, he thought he was amazing (and so did I!)
It was smokey but oh how I wish you scratch and sniff the screen
the aroma was amazing.
I didn't realize that there were so many awards,
we chose to eat here because they appeared to have won the most.
MMMM good. But sticky.
This weekend though, we're off to the theatre for some
Have fun everybody.
Enjoy and soak in every last second of our last long weekend until, gulp, Thanksgiving!

Ah yes, long weekend are the best!
I would so be at a ribfest if there was one here in town :)
Last week at the festival I went to, I chose the BBQ from the place that had the most trophies like you did.....I was like, I'm eating there, it must be good! haha
Happy weekend :o)

Oooh. Good idea. We're still at the cottage until Tuesday, but I think now I'll get some ribs. I'm INSPIRED!

i don't much like barbecue. the party is good but the meat gets caught in my teethe and i don't lie to go all day trying to unstick it with my tongue. it is very ineffective. drama is more to my liking. what did you see?
