dialing up while dialing down

i love the cottage.  the point of a holiday is to dial down your busy life and take advantage of the quiet times and there is no place better to do that than a cottage.  here we are dialing down our lives while dialing up the internet in this age of high speed except up here at the lake, not so much with the high speed.  whoa, waiting for a page to open or a photo to upload, well i may as well be out in the boat waiting for a fish to bite.  

we spotted a new junk shop on the drive up here and i was delighted to find four of these perfect cottage mugs, some adorable book ends and a beautiful milk glass bowl to hold our tomatoes. 

the new chairs are painted and ready to be lugged down to the dock.  both photos taken with my new macro lens!!

Lovely shots. I'm gonna go to my local camera store tomorrow and make up a Christmas list. Then I'm gonna sign up for a course - for when I have the time. That will not be soon. Sigh.

I thing the mug is a Fire King, peach lustre mug. Made around 1955. I have put together a whole set, mugs, coffee cups, saucers, dinner plates, serving bowls, mixing bowls, sugar and creamer, etc. I lurve me some glassware. And I love your cottage.
