Margie answered an email that I had sent her with the news that I had not gone to work with, "we're such losers". Yes, sometimes we are. I was sick, headache, upset stomach, just feeling awful and she had a dreadful cold last week. We try, heaven knows we try to be healthy and not catch every little bug going. I can't imagine what our lives would be like if we didn't keep kicking at that can, turning rocks over and looking for things that keep us as healthy as we are taking our vitamins, seeing the doctors, doing the this and that to bolster our immune systems.
I know we're not losers.
Sister gets it and shows her love by making me laugh.
Last weekend Barry and I went to a carnival in the village up the road. The local Lion's Club hosts it as one of their big fund raisers. The hamburgers were rumoured to be outstanding and they were, homemade with lots of grilled onions, yum!
I had never seen a grocery wheel before.
So Barry bought us a couple of tickets and we won a bushel of groceries.
I was so excited. It was such a charming thing.
To share the love we donated the groceries to the food bank.
How else am I a winner this week? HMMMMMMMMMMM let me see.
Margie is coming for a sleepover tomorrow night.
One night only.
I can't wait to see her, and Andy, and Charley too.

I just love festivals and carnivals...they seem so much like the summertime happiness of being a kid. That happy 'anything is possible' feeling.
