Last week I took a little road trip to Prince Edward Island with a couple of good friends visiting from Ontario. It was a Thursday when we found this Love note scrawled in the sand:
I couldn't help but think of my favourite Soeurs of course!
Btw, PEI is gorgeous - a great summer destination -- pastoral landscapes, fantastic beaches, sand dunes, red soil, and rugged shore lines. With all that goodness it's hard to believe PEI is famous for potatoes and Anne of Green Gables?! We did the North Cape Coastal Drive -- you can spend the night at the West Point Lighthouse Inn and stay in a room that's part of the original 1875 lighthouse structure, and if climate change has got you down (Andy!) check out Canada's National Wind Energy Laboratory on the north cape where you'll also find seals galore sunbathing on the longest natural rock reef in North America.
Love to my Mom and my Kath!

and a big xo to sarah, she is having her wisdom teeth out.

xoxo mommy and auntie kath

a coworker and his wife went to PEI for a vacation and he showed me photos; it was gorgeous. he did not mention the bottle house though - now I really want to visit someday!

A daughter who helps in blogland?! Hope the wisdom teeth removal isn't too traumatic!
Those are essentials in my life, too-- house, chapel, and tavern! : )
As a huge Anne of Green Gables fan, I've always wanted to go to PEI. Maybe a vacation some day!

I've always wanted to visited PEI...mostly because of Anne, who is my literary soul sister. :) It sounds GORGEOUS. Hope the wisdom teeth thing goes by very quickly and painlessly!

I almost got hit by a golf ball at
Anne of Green Gable's house, it is uncomfortably close or in the middle of a golf course - I ate lobster in a church basement - I lay on the red sand of the beach. I was 16 and on a road trip holiday with my boyfriend - what the heck was our mother thinking? haha
Sarah I hope you are okay. Love you so much, thank you for posting.
xoxo
