we took charley to our new dog park on this beautiful day. colours were everywhere, not just in the trees, every corner of this park called to me. people had randomly decorated and equipped the park with a plethora of odd items. broken lawn ornaments, dog statues, abandoned wicker chairs, toys, large and small. i searched for a macro shot.
whimsical and eerie.
well used
october was breast cancer awareness month as well.
ending yesterday on october 31.
i learned today that my friend sarah
lost her fight with breast cancer on that day.
sarah's daughter, a young mother herself,
died 13 years ago,
after a failed kidney transplant.
sarah i wish for you now, that you
should finally be able to see that your beloved daughter
is okay.
please remember that
cancer will remember us in any month.

A good reminder--cancer can visit us any month.
We are mourning a good friend- parent of a senior who died on the 30th of leukemia only seven days after diagnosis.
I like the idea of a wonderful reunion between Sarah and her daughter.

A friend lost her sister-in-law to brain cancer this weekend, 12 short weeks after being diagnosed.
Margie, this is a beautiful post.

Cancer sucks and I want it gone forever!!!! It saddens me about Sara, but like you, my thoughts are with the probability that her and her daughter are reunited on some beautiful white sandy beach together, walking along and getting acquainted again.
Your shots are gorgeous, they remind me that I love October for so many reasons, and love the fall season too. xoxo
