I received a gift of chocolates from a client, bought some pretty carrots, worked on my knitting and my journal, treated myself to some funky glasses, took some photos, had a co-worker leave a bag of fresh-picked apples on my desk as a thank you and am busy reading a new magazine.
An impromptu mid-week dinner date with Barry, a brisk walk in the bright sun over my lunch hour, some work related jobs well done, homemade soup, chats with my sister(s!), bread baking that turned into brick making, watching the grapes in the vineyard get picked with only the headlights of the tractors shining as they harvested at night to beat the frost, cozying into bed early to get a good night's sleep, awakening to a glittering frosty landscape this morning and smiling because the grapes were picked just in the nick of time, a sock monkey that makes me laugh as I find him posed in our bed reading a New Yorker magazine, knitting tips arriving via email from Granny, the crisp fall air and a plan for a trip home at Christmas have all made this a very good week indeed.
