I am participating in an ornament exchange hosted by Lisa. I was supposed to put this in the mail yesterday to my swap partner but our post office is not open on Saturdays or Sundays. It is just another one of those things that will have to wait!
I found this in one of the artisan galleries in Niagara-on-the-Lake and fell in love with the idea of part of an old farm shed in Ontario that held up the weight of many snow falls over many Christmas seasons now existing as art that will end up far away from its humble beginnings. I thought it a perfect Canadian gift to send to someone in Sweden.
I'm having a hard time parting with it, I think I'll have to go back and get one for my own tree!
The photo doesn't do it justice, it is about the size of my hand and just so very pretty.
The wooden marbles on the star tips remind me of gumballs.
