i drifted around the internet early this morning, looking for some inspiration for this post. shutter sisters has a musing on the 365 project. our good and talented friend over at gabrielle kay photography has put together fifteen tips to help you if you are considering such a project. oh, and by the way, if you do not subscribe to her photography newsletter, you are missing out!
kath and i post a 365 photo here on our blog sporadically. at best. we try hard but to be truthful we failed. it was a 365 - not so much project for us.
there is a common thread of advice from those who have been successful - slow down. so as i have said before, there is nothing the soeurs like better than to jump on a bandwagon. if you have been reading regularly you know that the soeurs have been stretched a little thin these past few weeks. struggling with health issues, deadlines, disappointments and worries.
i have to laugh at this sign. it says it all: do not through out, throughout the year we have not taken our daily photos as promised. so sister kath, are we up for it, do we try to slow down and commit to taking a photo a day throughout the coming year?xo margie

Ha! Of course! Grab my hand and help me up on the wagon, I have a bad knee and need a bit of a boost. Should we share the responsibilities and do one day me, one day you? Do we have a theme? It’s going to be so much fun! My pain is down by 80% today. I said to Barry on our way to work this morning that when I feel good my imagination is like fireworks, sparkling with things I want to do. We’ve been disciplined with the blog and heaven knows, we can do anything when we put our mind to it …. I vote YES! Thanks for the telephone call this morning that succeeded in getting me out of bed!
Love you

I could never do a 365 - there are just days I refuse to take a shot just because I have to...but I do love a good 52 week project.
I admire people that do commit to it though as I know it's a big undertaking.

Want to know one of the many things I love about you two? Optimism. And shared support. Okay, that's two things, but like I said - there's many. :) You guys are going to kick butt this coming year!! The universe owes you one by now, I think!

It's hard, isn't it? I went for so long feeling like I needed to post every day and enjoying it, but lately I've been so engrossed in reading and healing I've had to slow down too. I guess it's important to recognize when you need to take a break or focus on other things...

I agree with m.heart- I pseudo began this then quickly dropped out. It wasn't the right move for me at that time. I am going to reconsider in January beginning again. But, if my heart is pulling me to focus on writing/journalling, doing more reading or painting, I will follow it.

I too agree with m.heart - doing what feels right in your heart is most important. And I can't wait to see if you do a photo a day again - but you are right - slow down :o) Enjoy and embrace the shots you do get and enjoy and embrace the days you didn't shoot.

Bandwagons are great fun--sometimes. I admire your will. I don't think I am capable to that big of commitment--except to marriage and motherhood! : )

I read Kath's reply, so it sounds like you ladies going for the 365 again! Good luck!

Do not through out - me too. About a lot of things. Still, what a fun year it's been.
