It surprises me how Love Thursday occupies my thoughts and highlights what I see in the days that are not called Thursday.
I am paying attention, seeing unexpected hearts and expressions of love all around.
In the past week or so, I have sat and listened to a man speaking for the first time about the love, sparkling and new, that he has for the woman who has just come into his life.
He cannot believe this has happened to him.
I have sat and watched tears flow as a woman shared her heartbreaking grief over the loss of her mother.
She cannot believe this has happened to her.
It struck me that, in a very simple way, the two ends of the love spectrum, love lost and love found, are eerily similar when they are new to your life.
Either way, you cannot believe this is happening to you.

This is my kitchen window sill.
It's a little collection of things that have gathered there.
The other day I noticed with surprise the two hearts and the couple in love.
Until then all I had ever seen was a nutshell, an ornament torn from an invitation and a matchbook, things that hadn't found proper homes elsewhere in the house.
I think they've found their home and will stay right where they are.
Thanks Love Thursday for sparking awareness
about what is sitting before my eyes in my own kitchen!
